Bob’s responsibilities include managing our team of project managers and estimators, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the infrastructure and maintenance teams. He assists with all aspects of the business, including business development functions and working closely with the CEO on strategic planning initiatives.
Expertise
Bob has been in the electrical construction business for more than 30 years. His electrical career began in 1993, when he was a project field engineer for a large nationwide contractor hired to retrofit a coal fired power plant for TVA in Cumberland City, TN.
He briefly worked as a project manager for an electrical contractor in Las Vegas, prior to taking advantage of an opportunity to come back to his hometown to begin his 20-year tenure at a large electrical contractor in the Chicagoland area.
At that company, he worked his way up from project manager/estimator to division manager, where he led their transportation division for many years and completed numerous large-scale projects for Metra Commuter Rail and the Chicago Transit Authority.
He joined Lyons and Pinner Electric in 2016 as the infrastructure division manager, handling all their Class I Railroad and IDOT/ISHTA projects. In 2020, he was promoted to vice president.
Bob received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology from Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN campus). He is also active in various industry related groups within the Chicagoland area.
The Personal Side
In his downtime, Bob enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He loves summertime outdoor activities (swimming/boating/fishing etc..), as well as traveling.
