Chicago Electric Fish Barriers
Lyons & Pinner Electric Companies is proud to have installed and commissioned both active fish barriers in Romeoville, Illinois for the United States Army Corps of Engineers. We are currently constructing phase one of the third permanent barrier along with construction of a power quality project for the first permanent barrier that we installed. We also provide constant electrical maintenance of the barriers.
Thomas Place
Design-build electrical construction of a new 80 unit 55 and older independent living community in Orland Park, Illinois. This project included a complete electrical and site lighting system, voice / data system, security system, and fire alarm system.
Fontanini Italian Meats
Construction of a state of the art meat processing facility in McCook, Illinois. Complete electrical installation including wiring of all refrigeration equipment, meat processing equipment, oven lines, and pack out equipment all to exceed USDA regulations.
757 North Orleans
Design-build electrical construction of a 24 story residential condominium building in Chicago, Illinois. This building included indoor parking, swimming pool, and retail spaces.
South Shore International College Prep
Complete electrical construction for this three story 200,000 square-foot urban high school. Work included a pool, gymnasium, theatrical lighting system, emergency / critical power system, and complete classroom build outs.
Vertical Lift Bridge #52 for Canadian National Railway Company
Complete electrical construction of a new 350 foot vertical lift bridge over the Illinois River. Our scope included all bridge electrical work including installation and commissioning of the new bridge control system. The new 350 foot bridge was constructed on land and moved into place in an 84 hour window which included removal of the existing 120 foot lift span.
Plante Moran – Chicago Headquarters
Complete electrical construction for the Plante Moran Tenant Improvement Project at 10 South Riverside Plaza in Chicago, Illinois. Scope included new power, lighting, and low voltage wiring for over 80,000 square feet of office renovation.
Roosevelt Road Streetscape
Electrical construction for a brand new decorative lighting system along Roosevelt Road in Oak Park, Berwyn, and Cicero, Illinois. Scope included complete renovation of five traffic signal intersections, installation of 117 decorative lighting units, and installation of three solar powered illuminated crosswalk systems.
Intermodal Yard Automatic Gate Systems
Over the past 7 years we have installed over 8 Automatic Gate Systems in various Intermodal Yards throughout Chicagoland. Scope included wiring of the automatic gate systems, high mast lighting, emergency / critical power systems, primary distribution systems, fiber optic cable systems and microwave tower installations.
Loyola Center for Health at Burr Ridge
Construction of new three story 105,575 square-foot medical building for Loyola University Health System in Burr Ridge, Illinois. Scope included immediate care rooms, exam and recovery suites, imaging rooms, rehabilitation suites, and offices. In addition to the electrical system, we also installed fire alarm, and nurse call systems.
Rosemont Corporate Center
Design-build electrical construction of a 120,000 square-foot office building in Rosemont, Illinois. This LEED Gold certified building is four stories with a connected parking garage. In addition to completing the core and shell electrical construction along with fire alarm wiring, we also completed several tenant improvement projects in this building.
Cummings Bridge Rehabilitation
Complete electrical rehabilitation of the Cumming Bridge over the Calumet River in Chicago, Illinois for Norfolk Southern Corporation. Scope included installation of all new power wiring, control wiring, cable tray systems, new aerial wiring, new motor system, and a new control system. The Calumet River is known for its heavy barge and ship traffic. With that in mind, Norfolk Southern asked us to install most of the new system while leaving the existing lift system in place to minimize disruption to the waterway traffic. Lyons-Pinner worked with the railroad and Coast Guard to devise a plan to perform the cutover during a 14 day window in the dead of winter when waterway traffic is lighter.
Riverside Brookfield High School Expansion and Renovation
Lyons-Pinner was selected to be on the team to complete a very aggressive expansion and renovation of the historic structure dating back to 1917. Work included renovation of existing areas and construction of a new academic wing with main entrance. In addition to the new main electrical service and new lighting we also installed a new fire alarm, voice data, and clock speaker systems.
The Living Coast at Brookfield Zoo
Complete electrical construction of an exciting exhibit at Brookfield Zoo that houses penguins, fish, corals, and even sharks. In addition to The Living Coast, we are very proud to say that we have completed numerous other exhibits and projects at Brookfield Zoo..
